Purvanchal Gramin Bank Recruitment 2013 – 198 Vacancies for Officer Scale and Office Assistants


 Purvanchal Gramin Bank has released a notification regarding 198 vacancies for position of Officer Scale and Office assistants. Individuals who have cleared the RRB’s Common Written Examination on September 2012 are invited to apply for 86 Officer Scale and 112 Office Assistant vacancies.
Important Dates
·         Start date of online applications: 10th April 2013
·         Last Date of online applications: 25th  April 2013
·         Application Fee payment dates: 10th April 2013 to 25th April 2013   
Eligibility Criteria
·         Age Limit
a.       Officer Scale : Applicant should not be less than 18 years of age and should not exceed 28 years of age as on 1.1.2013.
b.      Office Assistant : Applicant should not be between 18 to 28 years of age as on 1.1.2013.
** Please note that upper limit for age can be relaxed for SC/ST and OBC candidates as per the regulations issued by Government Of India.
·         Nationality:
Candidate applying for the position should be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who come to India before 1962 with a view of settling permanently in India. Person of Indian origin who has come to India with an intention of settling permanently in India can also apply for the position. Apart from Indian citizens, all the above mentioned candidates would need to furnish an eligibility certificate issued by Government of India.
·         Educational Qualifications:
a.       Applicants need to have graduated in any discipline from recognized universities.  [ For officer Scale positions: Applicants with degree in Economics and Accounting, IT,   Management law, Engineering, horticulture, agriculture, pisciculture etc will be preferred]  
b.      Candidates should be proficient in local language
c.       Applicants should have mandatorily cleared RRB’s Common written examination in September 2012.
d.      Computer knowledge is essential for above mentioned positions.
** Note: competitors who have cleared Common Written Examination should have achieved specified scores in each section.
·         Officer Scale: SC/ST/OBC candidates should have scored 17 and above in each category with an aggregate score of 89 and above. General candidates should have scored 19 and above in each category with an aggregate score of 95 and above.
·         Office Assistant:  SC/ST/OBC candidates should have scored 17 and above in each category with an aggregate score of 97 and above. General candidates should have scored 19 and above in each category with an aggregate score of 103 and above.
Application Fee
·         Application fee for SC/ST/OBC candidates is Rs 20 only. other candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 only
·         Individuals interested in applying for the above mentioned positions can pay the application fee by depositing cash along with the fee payment challan available on the bank’s website  www.pgbgorakhpur.com
·         Payment can be made from 10th April 2013 to 25th April 2013.
Selection Process
Selection of candidates is made through a two step approach. A merit list on basis of RRB’s Common written examination scores is derived and competitors are set call letters for a personal interview. Performance on the personal interview is graded out of 30 marks.
