UPTET Exam is
held for recruitment of Primary Teachers. The whole procedure comes under the
State Government and eligible candidates are given suitable teaching posts in
primary schools and secondary schools. The exam is held for aspiring teachers
in the largest State of India, Uttar Pradesh.
Application
forms are out for 72825 vacancies at State level in today’s date. Form should
be filled by candidates who carry with them a bachelor’s degree in an art
subject. Not only the art students but students of Science and Commerce can

Candidates who
wish to apply for the post of a teacher with UPTET 2013 should have at least 45 % in the bachelors. Applicants
with a Senior Secondary Certificate or any other equivalent to it can apply for
this exam. Eligibility is also there for those who are in the final year of
their Diploma course of Elementary Education. Students enrolled in 4 year
bachelor degree course or special two year diploma course in education can also
sit for this exam. Candidates who hold a bachelor degree in B.Sc or BA with
minimum of 50% marks are also eligible for UPTET.

would be handling students from class 1 to class 8.
Applicants with
a BA or B.Sc degree can sit for the exam and teach Paper 11 in which classes
6-8 are covered.
An application
fee is also to be submitted. Relaxation of fee is however there. Reserved
categories are given relaxation where age factor comes.
Those sitting
for the UPTET 2013 Exam, it would be helpful to know as to what syllabus has
been prescribed for them. One should have some knowledge about Physics, Maths,

difficult to sit for this exam. The exam is compulsory for all those who wish

UPTET 2013 Exam Syllabus and Pattern
UPTET 2013 exam has two
papers which are objective in nature. Paper number one is of 90 minutes. Topics
of study are Child Development and Pedagogy, Mathematics, Environmental Studies
and two Language papers.
Paper 1 is meant
for teachers who wish to teach students from class 2-8. This paper too is of 90
minutes. MCQs are of thirty marks each in this paper. Topics for study are two
language papers, Maths and subject of Science. There is one compulsory subject
to be studied for this paper and that is on Child Development and Pedagogy.
Social Studies and Social Science paper consists of 60 marks.
