Border Roads organization (BRO) has recently released an
official notification with regards to requirements of different posts. There
are 936 vacancies that have been advertised. Of these vacancies, there are 612
posts for driver mechanical transport, 149 vacancies for operator of excavating
machinery, 111 positions , 46 posts for a driver of road roller, 11 posts for Hindi
typist, 6 positions for laboratory assistants and 1 vacancy for store
supervisor.

Last date of application : 45 days from the date of the
advertisement
Last date for application from far flung areas: 60 days from
date of advertisement
Eligibility Criteria
Age limit- interested individuals should not be less than 18
years old and should not be more than 27 years of age. Age will be calculated
as on last date of application form.
Educational Qualification: Interested applicants must have
completed their matriculation or higher secondary or graduation in any stream.
They should have ITI certificate from any recognized institute.
How to Apply
All the eligible candidates need to apply in the format
prescribed in the official notification. Applications should be filled with
personal details and contact details. Candidates must also fill in their
educational qualifications and work experience if any. They should attach
photocopies of id proof, address proof, age proof, educational certificates,
ITI certificates, experience letters, and caste certificates. These photocopies
need to be attested. Candidates must mention ‘ application for position of …(name
of the post applied for) in block letters on top of the application envelope.
Two passport size photographs should also be enclosed with the photographs. All
candidates need pay an application fee of Rs 50. There is no fee for SC/ST/PH/
ex-servicemen .
Application forms and enclosures should be sent to following
address Commandant, GREF Centre, Dighi Camp, Pune – 411015. Applications must
reach the above mentioned address till 45 days from the date of advertisement.
Selection Process
All eligible candidates would need to undergo a physical
efficiency test. Physical efficiency test will gauge the candidates ability to
perform as per the requirement of border roads organization. Candidates
clearing the physical efficiency test will then need to appear for a
competitive written examination. This
examination will be of multiple choice questions. Merit list will be drawn on basis of scores
achieved in physical efficiency test and written test. On basis of this list,
the candidates will be called for personal interview.
